So, it appears I have once again, well and truly been cursed with insomnia. It's 00:56 and I'm not even a little bit tired. I have a sore throat, but tired I am not. So I've decided to do a sort of photo-blog type thing of my last month or so, just pictures off my iPhone- my real camera is broken (I'm trying to decided whether to ask the parents for one for a good one for a graduation present, I've been asking for a Mulberry Bayswater, but clearly that aint gonna happen!!) So here we go, stuck with the iphone pics!
Tesco
I had a post modernsim essay a few weeks ago, this random combination, somehow got me through...
Taylor Swift
The lovely Hannah Traynor (see this months Company magazine for her modelling skills!!) jetted off to Manchester to see Taylor Swift! It was fab, my fist gig in way too long, but wonderful all the same. This night ended with us stumbling into a silent disco at work, and drinking vodka and orange until 7 in the morning! Oops...
Mothers Day
As I previously mentioned, I went home for Mothers Day, and boring though Derbyshire is, we had a nice afternoon (nice as far as spending time with my whole family goes...) at Hassop Hall with all the posh coffin dodgers! My eldest brother (and therefore the youngest two) zoomed off straight after dessert to "go lambing." He's a farmer/shepherd, when I mentioned this the other day, someone at work actually asked if shepherds still exist.... (My shirt here is from Grace Boutique in Matlock, which is lovely...it looks better hung up than it does on me here though!)
Small haul/ Work night out
Dress from H&M (£7.99- bargain!) is so pretty, looks lovely, it needs heels but is SO short I had to turn it down as an outfit choice for a very drunken night out with lots of boys! I actually ended up wearing the dusky pink shirt (Peacocks £16- £12.60 w/student discount) and a pair of Abercrombie and Fitch cut off denim shorts I've had for years (the only perk when my dad lived in Nebraska was the mass amounts of Abercrombie stuff he bought back with him!) pink and wood wedges from New Look, last summer and Hannah's River Island pink snakeskin clutch. I got the shorts pictured from Primark last summer (I think.) I think I've only worn them once or twice but when I tried them on they just look hideous...They were always too big, but my god, they looked awful. Think they're headed into the "bag for charity shop." The next outfit is H&M top which I adore, and have already worn to death, I'm going to get it in another pattern definitely, I love it. Worn with bog standard Primark leggings and a necklace I've had since sixth form, can't remember for the life of me where it's from...I want to say Topshop, but it's not very topshop-y is it? Next, Como in a can, from trusty Home Bargains. I drank it straight from the can in order to feel like a real student/the type of young woman the daily mail writes about/not a snob, and it wasn't great, but I recon, out of a glass, really cold it could be quite nice! I was too busy drinking this to take a picture of the final going-out outfit, btw! oops... (must try harder to blog better!)
Tuesday night with the Carnlough boys...
Last week, Luke had friends from home to stay with us, it was supposed to be just for the one night, but they ended up staying Monday and Tuesday. I was actually really pleased about this because it meant I got a night out with them as well! There's no outfit post from this because I got ready (hair, make up, clothes, everything) in literally 15 minutes and I looked a state. It was a leggings, flats and sheer bottle green shirt night...I felt gross, but drank way too much Jaegermeister to care... Anyway, on our mass crawl around town, we stumbled into heebie jeebies (Seel street- a must for anyone coming to Liverpool!) and found this bloke and a similarly inebriated girl. I honestly thought they were creepy additions the the furniture, they looked like wax figures, but no, they were SO drunk they had fallen asleep in the club...it was about 11.30?! Disgraceful! Obviously the boys found this hilarious and took many a picture of them, with them, ON them, even. The other photo-worthy moment of the night, was when I realised (and freaked out) that a wall in Bumper (Hardman street) was decorated with pictures of this dummy. Took me right back to reading Night of the Living Dummy as a child. Scary stuff, and I don't know how I've never noticed before!
